Independence MO at last!

Quick update... we left a bit later than we hoped on Thursday (then forgot a couple things so that added to the time).  Got to a rest area in Utah then slept for a few hours before I slipped back into the driver’s seat Friday around 6am to head towards Cheyenne while the rest of the crew slumbered.  The RV is definitely not what you’d call aerodynamic, but it is so much better than riding with 10 people in a car… especially the bathroom breaks!
Between Liz, Doug, and Brandon driving (along with stops just long enough to satisfy the RV’s thirst) we rolled into a down pour in MO with some awesome bright-flash lightening.  The streets looked like rivers with the amount of rain falling.  Anyway, got to the RV spot (where we are now) around 1:30AM (Central time).
Got a shower, had some pancakes (thanks Liz!), and are getting ready to head out to visit the visitor’s center (LDS Independence Visitor Center).  Hitting a Lego store, then on towards KY!  Couple of pix...
